Sound familiar?

Seven situations I encounter again and again

If you recognise your organisation in one of these points, a conversation is worthwhile.

01

The lean programme started big, and little of it is left in daily work.

02

Too many improvement projects run at the same time, and none of them really progresses.

03

Standards exist on paper but are not lived.

04

Employees experience change as a threat and do the bare minimum.

05

Information gets lost between departments and problems are passed back and forth.

06

In the office, media breaks, duplicate data entry and spreadsheet islands cost time every day.

07

Once the project ends, everything falls back into old patterns.

Approach

The restart check in three steps

01

Diagnosis

I uncover the real causes: why has the initiative stalled? Through individual and team conversations and a stakeholder analysis.

An end to speculation and mutual blame.

On request I then support the implementation with workshops, training and coaching until the new standards feel natural.

Why work with me?

Six reasons that matter in daily work

Delivery over concept papers: I work where value is created: on the shopfloor and in the office.

A direct line: One permanent contact instead of changing consultant teams.

Everything from a single source: Analysis, workshops, training, coaching and audits interlock.

Experience from my own practice: Personally responsible for lean and change projects in industry since 2013.

Leading without hierarchy: Leading teams and projects without disciplinary authority; I know how to convince and involve people.

A lean structure: No large overhead and fair terms; for larger undertakings I bring in experienced partners from my network.

About me

Change needs clarity and trust.

As your dedicated point of contact, I combine lean and change experience from manufacturing with a clear view of leadership, processes and people – from the shopfloor to executive management.

Optimise processes, enable people, embed change.

Frequent questions

What you want to know before the first call

Which companies do you work with?

I work with manufacturing companies around Lake Constance, in eastern Switzerland and across the DACH region. These are plants of small and mid-sized companies as well as individual units of larger organisations. My experience comes from manufacturing industry and mechanical engineering. I am engaged for production and for administration alike.

How does an engagement start?

We start with a free introductory call of 45 minutes. In it we clarify your situation, the goal and the time frame. You then receive a proposal with a clear scope and outcome. After that you decide at your own pace whether and how we continue.

How do you invoice?

I invoice by effort or as a package, transparently and monthly. The terms are agreed to match your undertaking so scope and benefit fit together. You know before the start which services are included. Additional steps are always agreed in advance.

What happens with larger projects?

For larger undertakings I bring in experienced partners from my network. You still keep one permanent contact who has the overview and stays responsible. The structure remains lean even when several areas run in parallel. You continue to speak with me, not with changing consultant teams.

Production or administration?

Both. I am a Lean Black Belt for production and a Lean Admin Expert for administration. On the shopfloor the topics are usually value streams, set-up times, standards and shopfloor management. In the office they are media breaks, duplicate data entry, spreadsheet islands and meeting time – at a previous employer meeting time in operations was reduced by more than 20 per cent.

Where do you work?

My base is Bottighofen in the canton of Thurgau, directly on Lake Constance. I work in eastern Switzerland, the Zurich area, southern Germany, Vorarlberg and the wider DACH region. Analyses, workshops and audits take place on site, because I go where the work happens. Coordination, coaching and interim steps run online where that makes sense.

What is the restart check?

The restart check is my approach for lean and change initiatives that have stalled. In the diagnosis I uncover the real causes through individual and team conversations and a stakeholder analysis. We then remove ballast: methods, reports and committees that can be cut straight away. Finally there is a roadmap in three steps with two or three quick wins that visibly take effect.
